Japanese Nigiri Sushi. Nigiri sushi (also known as nigirizushi) is a type of Japanese sushi known in the West. A piece of seaweed (nori) is sometimes used to keep the fish in place on the rice. The type of fish (or seafood) used is very varied : salmon, tuna, shrimp, eel (unagi), octopus, squid, sea urchins or crab.

Ingredients of Japanese Nigiri Sushi

  1. It's 3/4 cup of raw rice, soaked for an hour (I used Basmati Rice).
  2. You need 1 tbsp. of sesame oil.
  3. Prepare to taste of salt.
  4. Prepare 1/2 cup of each of coloured bell peppers, sliced.
  5. You need 1/2 cup of prawns.
  6. You need 1/2 cup of chicken slices.
  7. It's 1-2 of sausages, sliced.
  8. It's 1 of boiled egg. sliced.
  9. Prepare 1 of long eggplant, sliced.
  10. It's as needed of coriander leaves.
  11. It's as required of spring onion (green part).
  12. It's 1/2 of tomato, sliced.
  13. You need 1/4 cup of green chutney.
  14. You need 1/4 cup of sweet tomato chutney.
  15. You need 1/2 tsp. of chaat masala.
  16. Prepare 1/2 tsp. of red chili powder (optional).
  17. Prepare 2 tbsp. of oil.

  5. Press it tightly with your fingers, apply some chutney over it and place any topping over it. Securely tie it with a spring onion and serve with green chutney / sweet chutney a la Indian style..
